Bitcoin dominance is once again on the rise, casting a shadow over altcoins. Binance’s spot trading volumes are just $16 billion, well below the 2025 daily average of $21 billion.

Funding rates for BTC, ETH, and SOL are hovering near the minimum financing rates—6.2%, 7.0%, and 5.9%, respectively—highlighting weak retail activity. In this environment, maintaining minimal altcoin exposure is prudent, as their chances of sustainable outperformance without retail support remain slim.
